I loved the Alice network but this didn’t quite do it for me. I found the alternating timeline didn’t have the same affect as the Alice network and while the idea was great, the plot and characters wasn’t keeping me as engaged.

Intricate story. You can see the plot twist coming yet it still catches you off guard.

Kate Quinn does it again! I loved the Alice Network so much that I was worried The Huntress would not measure up, but it very much does. The book is told through the viewpoints of Nina, a soviet pilot from the wilderness of Siberia, and Jordan McBride, the all american aspiring photographer who wants to do more than marry and settle down. The story gives starts with a backstory and how they each came to know the huntress and her many sides. This novel is an action packed and entertaining read that lingers at the last page.

This read did not hit for me in the same way the last two Kate Quinn books I read did - that could be oversaturation though. It was a little slow at the start and over-complicated at times. Still, I was intrigued by the characters and loved learning about historical settings I was less familiar with.
