This was such a good, creepy little thriller. Heavy on the stranger things vibe. For YA it was more descriptive than I was expecting as well but I LOVED that!! Some of the descriptions of the stitchers victims really got under my skin and grossed/creeped me out. Very addicting read. Loved all the characters and how this all ended.

Honestly it should be made into a movie or series.

Oh this was definitely horror alright. We get a lot of gore here. Missing people. As soon as we are introduced to Abby and Hope, I had a feeling that Hope would be taken. It is up to the Jackrabbits to find out who really is the Stitcher and where they can find it and end it hopefully once and for all. We get supernatural and monster elements. The backstory of the Stitcher was interesting. That's why the red threads make sense. The stitcher also has powers and that is why people are taken and don't make any noise. This book almost reminded me a bit of It by Stephen King. I've only ever watched the movie though. But you get a band of kids together to fight some unknown entity that lives down underground. I didn't expect this book to be as gorey as it was, but it wasn't TOO bad. Some of it was gross for sure. But that is to be expected with a horror book. This would definitely make an interesting movie!

Okay spoilers below!
Charles Vicker was not the Stitcher, but more so the human kind of directing it. The stitcher is a monster who was oiginally a man that died in the mines. His mother was distraught and sewed him back together with red thread and sent him back to the mines. No idea why, but it seems the Stitcher kidnaps and dismembers people to gain new body parts when old ones start to rot and not work any longer. Luckily, the Jackrabbits find out that fire can kill the Stitcher. When the Stitcher takes Charles, it is not really clear if they die or survive. We will never know. However, the city seems to go back to being "good" with cars working and no weird disturbances, but who knows. It could just be lying dormant, waiting couple tears until maybe this generation dies out so people don't remember.
