An interesting (if somewhat underwhelming) book that was hamstrung by the first person narrative format and plodding pace. That said, it was still a fascinating look into the important, underfunded work of innocence lawyers - true heroes.
This was a super fast read!
Great pace to the story. Great story.
The narration style is a bit weird and I wouldn't call it a thriller since the reader knows the goal of the story... the story is how we got to that goal.

I’ve been disappointed with a few recent Grisham, but this feels like a throwback to his classic work.

Wrote a whole rant, pushed the wrong button and it’s all gone. So you guys will have to do with this -> didn’t like it at all.

Not my favorite Grisham by any means, but still an engaging read.
I thought I knew what happened. I did not. This was one of Grisham's better books. Not too long, not too full of legalese, lots of twists.
The last few Grisham novels have been only mildly interesting. This book breaks the streak, truly enjoyed it from beginning to end.
