I was sucked into this one right from the beginning. It’s a slow-burn romance, but oh my! every time Nico and Elena were anywhere near each other, it was scorching. The way the author wrote a simple press of their lips together practically made my Kindle heat up.
From the moment Nico and Elena laid eyes on each other, they were drawn together. Neither of them could explain it, and they both fought the feeling. Mafia Don Nicolas had signed a contract and was engaged to Elena’s sister. He didn’t really care who he was marrying, as long as she was respectable and could give him children. He didn’t care... until he saw Elena.
Nico was everything Elena knew she didn’t want. Deep down, she was a romantic. Even though she was brought up in the life of the Cosa Nostra, she wanted a love match. She wanted a man who would love her and remain faithful, and Made Men weren’t known for that.
