i don't care, nathan white is a psycho and crazy and so wild but so amazing and protective and possessive IM IN LOVE WITH HIM is it toxic? yes do i care? hell now!! i loved this book so much and there were parts i just wanted to punch nate so so bad and even at the beginning i was kinda scared of him not gonna lie but then he totally grow on me and how he didn't fully understand people's feelings or in general and the way he was always asking kay to name the emotion she was feeling so he could understand ugh they started so bad and so toxic but their journey and their development is beautiful and powerful and yeah definitely crazy and wild but it's so them and they're perfect for each other kayla is the only one who truly understands nate and nate will no matter what be by kay's side and will always treat her like a king like an equal and just perfection!!! i knew i was so excited for nate's book and intrigued for sure but didn't know kayla and nate could steal my heart like this and i love it!!! and now its the end of north shore series im going to miss them and loved how this book made them work together and start trusting each other it was such a beautiful good ending eheh

DID NOT FINISH: 18%

Same thing that happened with book 3, MFC's redemption arc didn't work for me. She was as unlikeable as she was the rest of the series. And for the MMC, Rina Kent does sociopath better and that's saying a lot... so yeah, first half of the series was ok, second half, unreadable. I NEVER DNF, I'm a soldier, I face the storm , I ALWAYS finish a series, so the fact that this happened says a lot for me. Bummer, because I was excited about this author

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I have adored binging this  whole series on audio and the final book is out now! Lola King delivers the best toxic romances with most unhinged leading men, and Nate may take the cake. This man is extra in the most morally grey, delicious way.  And Kayla? Well she’s just as feral as he is - so this one is straight chaos and fire and full on clashing.

We've had some great foreshadowing of characters as the series has gone on, so I was SO excited to get Kayla's story- and it was every bit as crazy as I expected it to be. DELICIOUS. Like "do i need to get therapy for being into this?" type delicious. Every book in this series has been so depraved and addictive, and I loved watching all these rabid characters find their HEAs in the most alluringly messed up ways. I’m a ho for the toxic magic Lola creates, and the most messy and turbulent she saved for last. No spoiled- but this was WILD in the best way. Just check those TW friends!

Corvin King and Heather Firth narrated and I was hanging on every word. Corvin is just mesmerizing at capturing Nate’s unhinge obsession and sharp edges, but he also brings the emotional intensity of feeling that underscores all his dark magic, and Heather nails Kayla. Her fire, her heart, her spine, her vulnerability. Their vocal chemistry brought all the passion and tension between these two to life. This entire series has been amazing on audio- and sealed my obsession with all things Lola King.
