It was interesting but nothing too thrilling. I guessed most of major plot twists before the reveals. A few things in the story were ridiculous and weren't explained properly for me to suspend my disbelief.

George was a gullible male character who mostly thought with is dick and let a girl manipulate him for most of his life.

I've read better from this author, 'The Kind Worth Killing' is my favourite thriller of all time.

Siento que la trama esta buena, pero le falto un poco más. La actitud de Goerge era exasperante pero aun asi Liana fue muy fría y calculadora

TL:DR review - If "Captain Save a Hoe" was a novel, you'd get this book.

It took a little more of a third to get minimally interesting. First part was painfully boring, the rest was just normally boring and cringe. Also made me think of social media book accounts that point out how terribly men write women characters. You think they purposefully pick the worst offenders they could find, but then you realize it actually happens often.

I had high expectations for this book. Having really enjoyed Swanson’s The Kind Worth Killing, I was looking forward to this one. I was disappointed. The more I thought about this book the less I liked it… and the less I like The Kind Worth Killing on reflection. Mainly because the basic orchestrations of the two books were exactly the same.

I can’t tell you too much of why I didn’t love this book without spoiling it and as it’s a thriller I’m going to do my best to not spoil it. I will say that it expects the reader to suspend reality a few too many times, the way Swanson depicts women is… not great, and the narration often feels thrown together to make the outcome work.

I’m not saying don’t read this, but I also wouldn’t rush to make sure you do. There are many other better thrillers out there.

This is the first book of this genre I've ever read and I was pleasantly surprised, the constant plot twists kept me on my toes and as soon as I thought I had this book figured out it took me somewhere else! Loved the flashbacks, I thought they were slow moving at times compared to the "real time" chapters but that was probably the point. I would definitely recommend this book, even to novice mystery/ thriller readers like myself as it is considerably easy to follow and had me gripped at every page. I couldn't put it down.
