This is barely even a love triangle because the choice is obvious from the get go.
We have milktoast missionary Jet and physically abusive paranoid Kasta. Both shit options, but one is clearly more shit than the other. Yet that isn't obvious to our protagonist Zahru in some scenes somehow.
THIS GIRL WAS READY TO FUCK HIM IN THAT TENT WHEN HE CARVED UP HER ARM WITH A KNIFE NOT EVEN A WEEK AGO
.

The first 10% of this book is pretty interesting. But then nothing happens until like 65% of the book, and after that I was just left wondering why Kasta wasn't the main character. His POV would have been much more interesting than Zahru's. And I love an anti-hero. Hell, I'd take Maia's POV over Zahru's any day. We get a taste of it in the epilogue and it would have been so much more suspenseful, dramatic and interesting if she or Kasta had been the MC. Their story and history together is more interesting than this entire book.
