Everything Has Changed is the second book that I have read by Mia Kayla, and it is my favorite of hers so far! This book was really cute, and I loved Bliss and Jimmy so much. I am such a sucker for a good friends to lovers story, and these two had been friends since they were children. There was so much between them, and I adored their connection.

Bliss "Boo" Carrington had been in love with her best friend Jimmy for years. She was now in law school and he was a top NFL quarterback, but she knew him before any of that. Bliss has never been able to tell Jimmy how she feels though, because she fears it will destroy their friendship. Little does she know that Jimmy has always loved her also, but that he refuses to let anything happen between them for his own reasons. But when Bliss finally decides that she can no longer be just friends with him while he is off with other women, will it finally be what they both need to take a chance on a relationship together?

I really loved Bliss and Jimmy. These two had such history between them, and I loved that they had been best friends pretty much their whole lives. They knew each other better than anyone else, and had seen every side of each other. The love between them was deep and pure, and I thought that their foundation was rock solid. Jimmy struggled with some fears and insecurities due to his father and his mother though, and that really held him back. He was scared to turn out like his father, and that was something that Bliss tried to help him with. She did what she could to try and convince him that he was nothing like his father, but it wasn't easy. Bliss also had a few issues, and she didn't think that Jimmy or anyone like him would ever see her like other girls. It was so good to see her finally begin to realize that she was what Jimmy wanted all along and that he cared for her just as much as she cared for him. These two had a great connection and a ton of history, but I really enjoyed seeing them begin to explore the chemistry and attraction between them as well.

Overall, this story was great. I loved Jimmy and Bliss. They were sweet together, and I liked how well they knew one another. They were the perfect match for one another, and it was clear that they had always been meant to be together. I do think that things between them progressed pretty slowly, and I wish that things had been a little quicker between them. While I enjoy a slow burn, I wanted to see more of them together and I felt the ending was a bit rushed once they had finally figured things out. It would have been nice to see a bit down the road for them and how things ended up. I really enjoyed this story though, and I didn't want to put it down. Jimmy and Bliss were entertaining, and I know that these two will be ones that I love for a long time to come. I look forward to reading more from Mia Kayla in the future. If you are looking for a sweet contemporary friends to lovers story, I would definitely recommend giving this one a shot!

Bliss has been in love with Jimmy for years. He has been her best friend since she was 6 years old and somewhere over the years she started to develop feelings for him. Of course, she never wanted to tell him because she didn't want to risk their friendship and she thought there was no way he could ever feel the same way about her. Jimmy and Bliss have incredible chemistry and are truly best friends. This story is told from Bliss's point of view in the present and then switching to the past on occasion. Normally, I get really annoyed when books switch from present to past because it can be hard to follow but in this book, it was perfect. The past chapters really helped to strengthen the bond between these characters and gave a better understanding of their connection. I love a really good friends to lovers story and this is now one of my favorites. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a sweet, friends to lovers romance.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book. Once I started it, I could not put it down. The story is absolutely amazing, swoon-worthy, and heartbreaking at times. The author does a fantastic job of writing the story so you feel like you are right there with the characters, experiencing their emotions and just when you think you know how things are going to play out, she throws you a curve ball. Definitely a MUST-READ!

Bliss Carrington and Jimmy Branson have been best friends for as long as they have known each other since the age of six. They have shared experiences and adventures, been there for each other through the good and the bad, and regardless where life has taken them after high school they still have such a close connected bond.

"I…I love you, Boo. No amount of miles will ever change that. You can call me whenever you want – to talk about your dad, to shoot the shit, whatever. Okay? If you need me here, I’ll be on the next flight back.” He inhaled deeply through his nose and exhaled through his mouth. “Nothing’s going to change, I promise you that, and you know when I promise, I mean it.

As time passes Bliss’s feelings grow to something more and must keeps it to herself. Jimmy’s tainted history keeps him from being with anyone serious, afraid to ruin/break anyone that matter to him.

"Boo, I love you.” It was a simple statement, something he’d been saying to me since we were children. But those words meant so much more to me now, more than the words meant to him. It was almost as if he was saying, The sky is blue. There was no inflection, no passion. It was just pure fact.

This 4 stars read will have you feeling (in all forms) the love, loss, hesitation, hope, and need for someone that hold dear to your heart. Bliss and Jimmy's story is one that will have you seeing that anything is possible regardless of the situations that were presented before them.

I received an ARC via Netgalley and this is my first ARC that I got approved!

I don't normally read friends turn to lovers story because it's a bit too cliché for me but the summary intrigued me. Fans of this kind of story will love this. My rating is 3.5. 3 for the story and I added a .5 because I adored these characters.

Chapter 1, I was already feeling all sorts of things. I love reading a book where I can connect to the characters to the point where I'm in pain when they're in pain. Sounds a bit weird but I think that's how you know a book is good when the author is able to do that. I was able to relate to Bliss because I've been in her shoes. Falling for your best friend is tough for anyone. It's a heartbreaking and I can relate to her. Her journey with dealing with her feelings for Jimmy was emotional but a bit too repetitive for my taste. It dragged on a bit too much.
Spoiler Whenever Bliss wanted to distance herself from him; she would just cave in to him when he showed up at her door. I felt like things were too simple after Bliss confessed that she was in love with Jimmy and he just confessed back. I mean realistically that could happen, I'm not denying that but I mean there wasn't really a build-up that I was hoping to see.

I also could relate to Bliss being an introvert because I was quiet like her in high school and I only kept to a certain number of people that I was comfortable with. It was difficult for me to get out of my shell and it was my friends who encouraged me to step out of it, like Jimmy did with her. So I could understand how and why her relationship with him was so important.

I'm really glad Jimmy wasn't like alpha male type of guy seen in most new adult books. Jimmy despite all his internal issues with himself, he's a good guy. He’s so caring. One thing I loved was that he showed her that he was there for her instead of just saying or telling her that. When they would argue, he would just hop on an airplane to go see her and I just like that he physically proved that he cared for her.
And I was rooting for Bliss and Jimmy. I really enjoyed their relationship. They were there for each other through the good and bad. I like that Jimmy never pushed Bliss to do anything she was uncomfortable with, but he encouraged her. It's sweet. Knowing how much they've been through, I really wanted them to be together.

I enjoyed the secondary characters. I loved Bliss and her father's relationship, it was beyond beautiful and I also enjoyed her friendship with Kelly. Kelly reminded me of my best friend. I ended up really like Evan because he’s such a sweet guy. I hope he gets his own story. I enjoyed the writing. The changing point of view from past to present was done so well, like reading Bliss at the age of 6 made me feel like I was in the mind of a 6 year old.

One complaint that I would make…
Spoiler I didn’t like how Bliss just stopped her everything when he rejected her. I like that Kelly was there for her, but as difficult as it is, dropping everything over a guy is just a no-no in my book. But I can understand that for her character, it would make sense for her to deal with it in that way.

I’m looking forward to reading more from this author. I’m a huge fan of good writing and I see huge potential for more great things by this author. :)

** I RECIEVED AN ARC IN RETURN FOR MY HONEST OPINION **

I really liked the beginning of this book. However, I did find that the couple actually getting together took longer than I had hoped, and the conflict came too fast in my opinion. I will have a more in depth review coming soon! Overall, I would give this book 3.5-3.75 stars!

I liked parts of this but what didn't work for me was the part of the book that I thought "are these people 13 year old girls experiencing their first period" I'm not a big fan of juvenile drama.

I was absolutely hooked on this book from beginning to end. I was so in love with the characters that Mia Kayla created. Mia used both the past and present to tell readers the full story of Jimmy and Bliss. Their past explained why they felt such a strong devotion to each other. The lovers were the one constant in each other's lives, always there to support the other no matter what. Even towards the end of the novel when Bliss thought her friendship might be forever over with Jimmy, she still went to his aid when he needed it. I like how Bliss isn't afraid to stand up for herself when it comes to Jimmy, she is always challenging him. I really enjoyed the dialogue between the two; the conversations were real and authentic on both parts. Mia did an amazing job of conveying the emotions of the characters. The part when Jimmy starts to tell Bliss that they can't have the type of relationship she deserves absolutely broke my heart. I felt the frustration Bliss did and wanted to yell at him myself for thinking he would be anything like his father.
I really liked the secondary characters as well. I wish things would have played out with Evan a little more…it left me wondering if he was still the same prick from high school or if he had really changed like Bliss had thought.
I really enjoyed reading this book, I definitely recommend it. It was a adorable and emotional read, and every page left you wanting more. I definitely look forward to reading more by Mia Kayla!
