I just love River Song SO MUCH IT HURTS so any extra time I get to spend with her will be gladly taken by me. I miss her already. :(

Brilliant. Clever. Fantastic.

Being written by Alex Kingston herself you can really feel River Song here, so many of her nuances and flares.

She very clearly loves the character and it's really shown in The Ruby's Curse.

The overall concept and story is so well done and makes great use of the medium.

My only complaint is that for the Doctor Who universe the science fantasy leans a little too far into the fantasy during the story, but for me it wasn't enough to knock a star off.

I fully recommend this book for any River Song or Doctor Who fan!

It was a fun read, but I got confused a lot. By the end I wasn't sure what had happened. But I think it's from listening to the audio (for Alex Kingston reading it herself!) when I tend to get confused listening to mystery stories.

As a Doctor Who fan I really, really wanted to enjoy this. However, it was just slow and uninteresting. I was pretty disappointed. I stuck it out and finished but I feel like I spent forever reading it.

A really good read that maybe just needs a little polishing around the edges. The story was fun and entertaining, just a little difficult to follow at points with all the time jumps. Unsurprisingly, Alex Kingston absolutely nails River Song and Melody Malone and I for one, would not mind more novels like this in the future.
