3.5 stars. The plot was very engaging but I found Erica's meddling in this book to be more out of hand than usual. It was a page turner for sure and though I knew about the two events at the end before I read the book I still found myself on the edge of my seat waiting for them.

The book starts off slowly but picks up to a good pace about a quarter of the way in. Considering this is the sixth in the series there are initially a lot of characters to learn, but it gets easier.

I liked the method of interspersing scenes from the past from our mystery with present day events. In some ways they were the most compelling scenes.

The build up to the conclusion was good, but I had a funny feeling about how it was going to turn out and when everything was revealed I felt a bit cheated, to be honest, as it felt sort of cheap.

The book also ends on a cliffhanger involving the recurring characters, which did not impress me at all as I won't be buying the next in the series to find out what happens.

All in all, it's a good book to pass the time, but not a must-read.
