The Drowning

Nice job of juxtaposing dark psychological crime (without actually being all that "graphic") with cosy, chewy domestic detail. Well fleshed out secondary/tertiary characters. Love love.

I really like Camilla Lackberg's writing style it is very simple and easy to read. I could even call a cozy mystery? I mean, there isn't anything out of this world about the actual stories she writes. They're borderline unoriginal, meaning that i have read them before. The best way to describe these stories are episodes of "Law & Order" without ever going into a courtroom. I might sound negative but really i enjoy them. This one was pretty good.

Again, Erica is sticking herself into other people's business and into Patrick's police work. She encourages a colleague to write his book, once his book is published and he starts to promote his book he starts receive death threats. But Erica begins to realise she doesn't know her colleague as well as she thought and as she investigates she also come to find that no one really seems to know much about him. Then people start to die. Pretty much this is how they all go. For a small sleepy town in Sweden there sure are a lot of murders...and for a biographer to be in the middle of all of them?

I am joking i actually really enjoyed this book, it was engaging and very interesting. I really like how she develops her characters. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes a good solid mystery.

Again I have come into a series of books, this time at #6, but really did enjoy it. I don't think I missed anything by not reading the previous ones other than recurring character development. My one peeve is there were so many characters that it was hard to keep track. That said, now I'm hooked! This was one twisty mystery.

I think this is the best one of the author I have read so far. The mystery was so interesting and I had my theories, and the author crushed them. I had no idea who the killer was, and it was brilliant when it was revealed, just brilliant. It was complicated, and I really liked it because I never, ever thought of that person. I highly recommend it.

Super recomendado.

Really good book. Could anyone tell me how to purchase the next one in the series in English? Have only seen the one untranslated. Thanks!

Just wow. A bit slow to start, but once it gets started, it goes in such a fast and unexpected pace that the ending comes as a n unexpected surprise.
Very well done. Will read more from this author.

Camilla sure never disappoints! I love her books!

Oh the ending....damn you Camilla!

...but at least 5 stars for the last 60 pages.
