Good book. Great to see some insight the the destruction of liberal democratic countries by the simple means of disinformation along with a gullible public. These people believe what social media tells them because it fits in with their conspiring minds - do they watch too much soap opera at home, I wonder.

The USA under Trump is, however, the biggest threat. That he even came into power in his second term despite being a convicted criminal along with his ties to Epstein, a known paedophile. Trump himself admires autocrats. If the US goes down the autocracy road which it is trying very hard to do, does it mean we have no hope for the other liberal states?

Democracies work we believe because of the people, but if the people are tuned so differently, then I think we can safely say the rest of us are in the minority and will suffer the long term effects that autocratic countries are known for. Just look at how the rich having made money in autocratic states park their money overseas. That is a real teller.
