Everyone should read this… it’s going to stress you out. But it’s important to know.
informative inspiring

I found this book to be extremely interesting to read as the US is entering the beginning stages of its own dictatorship. I think Applebaum's American bias did show up a couple of times, but overall I thought her analysis, and particularly her conclusions, were very well balanced. The rise of fascism in both the US and abroad feels very overwhelming, and almost inevitable at this point, but Applebaum made it feel more like a problem that can be tackled.
