I was very meh on this book. A white lady describes her nice life and some of its challenges.

2.5/5 stars. This just isn't the book for me. I liked pieces of it, and I liked her writing, but the way the book was pieced together was too choppy feeling for me. I need a book that flows a little more smoothly. Again, I love the way she uses the english language, but I need more full stories and less snippets.

Hard not to like Shapiro's down to earth honesty. Beautiful writing.

Vulnerable, thoughtful, and lovely. I had a hard time putting this down and it has continued to ring in my mind even after finishing.

#62/2017 .. I didn't expect to love this book and I really did love it. Looking forward to reading more of this author's books.

Short but impactful read - I finished it in one sitting. I love the style Shapiro used and certainly look forward to picking up more of her memoirs.

This is the second book by Dani Shapiro that I've read. I think I like her writing, but I'm not sure I always understand where she is going or what message she wants to deliver.

It's difficult to say one way or another how I feel about this. But I like the non-linear free form nature of it, and how it kept playing with time and memory.
