This volume is just a fight, but that is not a bad thing at all when the action is this good. We get the full character stories for our current villains, Daki and her brother, Gyutaro, and honestly the backstory for them makes this arcs one of the best in the entire series. The desire and drive for Tanjiro to emerge victorious is on full display here, and the team work between all the Demon Slayers is so satisfying.

Okay can we talk about the bonus story at the end about how Inosuke learned to talk? That was really funny, adorable, and strangely a bit sad, too. Why aren't you people talking about this?!?
Onto the actual main story of the volume, I really liked it. Gyutaro looks so disturbing. Kind of gives you a sick feeling to put your eyes on him. Which is weird because he's objectively not the most grotesque demon we've seen. Maybe I'm scared of snatched waists?
Tengen is really gnarly, I just can't bring myself to say he's my favorite hashira. Top three though for sure! He's just so flashy.
Seeing Nezuko's demon side coming out like that, stronger than we've seen yet, was both super fucking awesome and really nerve-wracking. I was terrified that she was going to eat someone! Or even worse, hurt Tanjiro.
