Good. Worth reading. In many ways, more enjoyable than the films. In truth, I'm exceedingly irritated they got rid of the main female character when turning this book into a movie, as she is smart, strong, capable, and intelligent. And, in my opinion, there are never enough women like that on screen.

Don't let the time it takes me to finish this book correlate with how boring the book is. It is not. This book is as exciting as any of Ludlum's works should be. I always admire authors who could make an action movie play in your head from the words on the paper.

Now I'll have to watch the movie to compare with the book lol.

Well, different than the movie, but not bad. I would just say this book didn't have enough breaks in it; it was so intense the whole time. Exciting book, but I probably would have liked it more if I hadn't seen the movies first.

So...this is going to be a really short review.

I liked the book up until the ending! I really like the trials, trepiaditions that Bourne went through. I liked discovering along with him who he was.

I did not like, however, Marie. I thought she was super annoying and it was hard for me to believe that he truly "loved" her, other than him just saying he did...I know this wasn't a love story in any sense, but it seemed to me, there should have been more chemistry between them if he did love her...

Anyway...this was nothing like the movie, which I thought was quite enjoyable. At least I didn't see the ending coming!

I loved all the movies, and I want to continue on with this series, just to see what happens, but I do not think I could go through a whole nother 500+ pages for a not so splendid ending...

Oh well...Ludlum's writing was capitivating, but I was slowing down near the end due to all the political banter. I did not care for that.

Overall, it was a good story, clever, and I was surprised at how much I liked the action scenes.

I liked the beginning the best, much more than the middle or end...

Unintentionally hilarious time-capsule of the 1970s where colored contacts were a novelty, cell phones non-existent, and there was no 24-hour news cycle -- making it impossible for any government to catch up with two guys shooting their way through several major European cities. It falls into the same category for me as The Da Vinci Code: an interesting-enough story, crappily told.

Oh, and it is entirely unrelated to the film of the same name, other than they both feature a an amnesiac with a gun named Jason Bourne.
