These books are so different from the films. I strongly recommend anyone and everyone to read them. They are very fast paced and it gets so intricate with the plot, but without getting so confusing I don't know what's going on.
This may be the only book I will ever say this about: the movie was better.
I found the book odd and hard to follow. Maybe its because I saw the movie first but while I was reading the first few chapters, I was longing for the fast paced action of the movie...

Love the story lines and the action. Exciting from start to finish.
Boring, boring, boring. Bad decision to read it, I could have done better with that time. At some point I didn’t pay attention to the action because it was soooooo long and boring. I imagine even Ludlum forgot what he meant: cain, delta, charlie, whatever. If you want to kill some days of your live, that is the book.
"The Bourne Identity" by Robert Ludlum is a fast-paced and action-packed thriller that kept me engaged from beginning to end. The plot follows a man who is found floating in the Mediterranean Sea with no memory of who he is or how he got there. As he tries to piece together his past, he discovers that he is a highly skilled and trained assassin, and must fight to survive against those who seek to eliminate him.
While the action and suspense were certainly entertaining, I found the character development to be lacking. The protagonist, Jason Bourne, is a bit of a one-dimensional character, with much of his personality and motivations left unexplored. Additionally, the romance subplot felt forced and underdeveloped and detracted from the overall tension and pace of the story.
In summary, "The Bourne Identity" by Robert Ludlum is a thrilling and fast-paced book that would be enjoyable for readers who like action-packed plots. However, those who are looking for more in-depth character development may find it lacking, and it is reflected in the book's 3-star rating.

caution: So interesting but my faithful reader had to edit a lot of swear words for us.
