I don't get it. Somebody make them read the dang book before they tart drawing. The artist drew Rachel with a clown like expression. She was the goofy silly girl with big boobs. There is more attention the her and Ivy's boobs then the character's expressions. I didn't like it, I hated the illustrations. The story well there was a bit but it was swallowed by the ridiculous artwork

it was very nice to put a face to Rachel and Ivy. Rachel is much more likable.

This is a graphic novel adaptation of Kim Harrison's first book in the Hollows series, Dead Witch Walking. It's been a lot time since I read the first book but I love the series and was really looking forward to seeing the characters brought to life in picture. I was disappointed. The characters look nothing like I had envisioned them in my mind, and while that's no fault of the author or the artist, it's still an issue for me. Also, you lose something in the graphic novel. Even with all it's pictures there isn't nearly as much detail as in the actual book.

Since this was a world and characters I am familiar with I particularly enjoyed the notes and discussion with the author and the various conversations with the penciller about making the image match the vision.

I picked this up from the library this afternoon. I promptly sat down and read it. I literally couldn't put it down til I finished it. I love the story of Ivy and Rachel's first meeting. It was a very well done graphic novel and a wonderful story.

I bought this years ago to have a complete set, but it just didn't work for me. I really didn't enjoy the artwork and it felt like the artist was focused on their breasts than their faces. Being as this was a prequel, favorite characters like Jenks, Al, and Trent were absent and it was felt. I enjoy Ivy and Rach, but the format and length prohibited the slow burn that was their relationship.

This graphic novel is the story of how Ivy and Rachel meet at the IS. It's a fun story and the illustrations are pretty good.

Still like the books better, but graphic novels are certainly growing on me.

I can’t believe I waited all these years to read the graphic novels! I love getting to see Rachel and Ivy meet for the first time and to get an inside look into Ivy’s mind. Seeing Kisten with Ivy was weird and sad but bittersweet. I love the edition at the end, I was not expecting the guy to be watching to be __!! It’s crazy seeing everything setting up for the series!
