Offering a mixed bag of historical narrative (Hijacking Myths), celebrity satire (Celebrity Trainings), and welcomed discomfort ("Stable" and "The New Middle Class"), Insignificana soars. From cover to cover, this collection stuck with me as above-all-else original and necessary. The wonder it provides is truly hard to describe other than that it produces envy from a writer's standpoint.

2.5 stars. "Number One at the Box Office" was interesting, loosely in the style of Cosmicomics by Italo Calvino. "Libbingston, TX" and "Timeshare" were a promising beginning to this collection, but the majority of the stories let style and navel-gazing get in the way of just communicating something to the reader.
