A+ smut novella. It had just enough plot set up and then it did what it came to do which was steam pretty much on every single page. Jessica was a brat queen bee former cheerleader and Manson was a former high school freak loser. They had old chemistry that needed resolving and it got handled with the help of a dare and a Halloween party. Also there were clowns. I don’t like clowns, but I won’t count that against the story over all. Enjoyable, well-written, straight to the point smut.

Jessica was the popular girl in high school. She returned home from college during Halloween weekend, where Daniel Peter is throwing a blowout party. Mason was the social pyrahea in high school. The boy she used to taunt, tease, and spread rumors about - overall to make his life a living hell. Now Mason has grown up and into his body, making her loath and desire him in equal measure. Mason and Jessica have a twisted history that comes to a head at the party.

I like how a game of beer pong turns into a game of drink or dare (an elevated form of high school games like truth or dare and spin the bottle) ending with the loser becoming a slave for the night. It set the stage nicely for what will happen between Jessica and Mason.

I really enjoyed how dominate Mason was, yet in the end, he still needs reassurance. Also that he reminded her of her safe word periodically, checking in while simultaneously reminding her that she has the power to stop everything.

I really enjoyed the stripping away of pride to find something Jessica didn't know she was looking for inside a master/slave situationship. The act of keeping Jessica on edge for the entire night was diabolical and devious with the ultimate payoff in the end. Chef's kiss. I enjoyed the writing and spice in equal measure.
