This was a bit hit or miss for me (not just because clowns aren't my kink lol). I was at times disappointed and others pleasantly suprised. I really didn't care about the characters though, which even for a PWP novella meant I was never fully invested.

I know it was a short, but I just wanted…idk, more? It was like I got all these little fucking sparklers through the whole damn thing and they burned my fingers and were pretty to look at, but at the end of the night when I was ready for my big fucking firework show this asshole had been promising me through the entirety of the book, said asshole popped off one damn firework (yeah it was loud and I oohed and ahh’ed about it, maybe even swooned my face off because he was damn sweet about checking in on her, but grrrr) and then they fell asleep.
And, like, okay! I get it’s setting up for the duet to come, but I’m allowed to be a little bitter and petty about how little momma left on a cloud and then let her friend get in her head so she could ghost these pretty boys.
Overall though? I can’t wait to dive into the next book!

This was a fun, quick novella. And it was incredibly spicy. The story follows Jessica, a former cheerleader/queen bee, as she attends a Halloween party. There she runs into Manson, who was the school "freak" that her and her classmates often bullied. She loses a drinking game and must complete a dare, which leads to a wild (and spicy) night. I loved the banter between Jessica and Manson, and I'm such a sucker for a mean girl who secretly has a thing for the outcast/loser guy.
