I listened to this book instead of reading it, but I enjoyed it. I caught myself being confused because of how the book was written, but overall liked the different POVs or timelines. I haven’t read this before or seen the movie, so I was going in pretty blind — despite it being a classic Stephen Novel.

I feel bad for Carrie. She deserved better.

I read this book in one day from how good it was! This is probably one of my favorite so far of Stephen Kings books, there were some little things to change but it was horror buetiful. Right after finishing the book I watched the movie which was also amazingly good. Very much recommend it if you’re into horror or that you want to start reading horror.

Bleh. This book seemed predictable. I’m not fond of the parenthetical inserts every other line. And I didn’t like the faux report citations. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall hearing what King’s editors were saying about how to improve this. I was expecting more. It seemed so anticlimactic after everything.

YES, this book was so good! Stephen King captures high school girls in a way that I never expected (that sounds creepier than I meant for it to, but whatever). The story was awesome and really enjoyable. It's told as a regular story, and from different perspectives, so I really liked seeing a bunch of different pieces of the story. It is an excellent first novel (and novel in general). A+
