honestly not a big deal
it started really slow and promising, but then it kind of got stuck and i got bored
i feel like this was just an introduction and that the rest of the books will be based on another plot

Really quick read super thrilling and the fights were great, chracters and plot were not very complex, besides the main chracter. Loved the way it handled his journey of vengeance, favorite moment was the whip scene. The beginning was the best part, not ashamed to admit i cried.

A little underwhelmed based on glowing ratings. Going to forgive a lot of the over explaining on motivations since it is marketed as a YA novel. Also the adult characters are written so ludicrously. I’ve heard the trilogy gets better so I will persist. +1 for the audiobook reader, he’s doing the lords work.
