I've been seeing so much about this series lately and for the first book it did not disappoint!

Keeping the reds niave and compliant by calling them pioneers for mars when there was already a sprawling civilization for hundreds of years, Darrow going through his transformation from red to gold, him befriending cassius just for him to stab him in the guts for being forced to kill his brother, mustang being twins with the enemy and Darrow taking over Olympus to win then signs allegianc  to the man who killed his wife.

what a great first book.
