This was an entirely enjoyable experience from beginning to end, I truly do love the way Hemmingway writes even though it seems to me as nothing "special"—it is not flowery or pretentious, he states things simply and wonderfully and it is all as it is. The characters are all so subtle and there's nuances in each individual and whys to their actions that interest me. I've never really thought about the emasculation of being an impotent man before. A lot of the characters in this book annoyed me so slightly but they were all just people, and thus not really "hateable" for me. I did especially like Bill because I thought he was so funny and peculiar!
