It started off pretty slowly, and it was easy enough for me to put it down. But after about the first third of the book, the story picked up, and I was drawn in. The characters were really interesting, and not all that hard to remember. That plot was similar to others I've seen before, but it was also different. Once you get past the slow beginning, this is a worthwhile book. I can't wait for the sequel!

I love that the audiobook is narrated by Jim Dale. I loved listening to him in the Harry Potter audiobooks and he doesn't disappoint in The Emerald Atlas. The story for me could get a little confusing at parts, but overall it was a good story.

Brilliant

I gave this book a five star rating because I loved it and read it multiple times when I was 11

I remember reading this book when I was younger and loving it. I decided to reread this one and the second one because the third one came out and I want to get back in touch with these characters. This book wasn't as great as I remembered but that could be due to the fact that I am older now and my age group isn't the target audience. I really enjoyed this book and I'm already on to the second one which I am enjoying even more so than this! If you ever feel like reminiscing your childhood then I certainly suggest giving this a read.

Not able to stay focused didn't keep my attention well.

Loved the sweet sibling dynamic.

this book was really cool and elaborate i kept getting confused with all the time traviling dates but it all comes together in the end.

This book is so cool, okay?

I saw it randomly at the library I work in, and I was instantly drawn to the amazing covers (though I must say, they aren't as amazing on the English versions). I decided to read it, not really expecting much, as I was thinking "Okay, probably a bit too similar to The Narnia Chronicles", but it is surprisingly unique!

The three main characters are well-rounded, and I really really loved their relationship. It was fun, but so sweet. Also, I died a bit inside during the Gabriel/Emma scenes.

The world is well built, complex and interesting. It makes me want to go back and discover more and more (thank god there are two more books!). A thing that bothered me, however, was how I really didn't have any idea which period of time we're in. (Did I overlook something? It really annoyed me?)

Either way, I'll definitely read The Fire Chronicle, and I can't wait to find out what else this world holds.

I loved the story, the characters and can't wait for the second in the trilogy.
