I'm so glad that this series has ended with a 5-star read for me. This book was perfect in the sense that it made me laugh, there was great character growth for both the mmc and fmc, and there was a well-developed plot that kept me reading until the end.
I love both Nick and Abby so much and I was rooting for them to get together from the start. They had the chemistry and the tension and just when they came together everything was better.
I think I kept avoiding this book as I thought it would be sad because Nick lost his last girlfriend, who he had Hazel with, three years ago in a car-crash and yes this is definitely part of the plot and grief was mentioned, but it didn't make the story depressing. I actually really admired Nick coming to terms that he can't just block out the part of his life where Gemma was involved because he blamed himself for her death (not his fault!). I think his relationship progression with Abby was so well done and well-paced, like at first she tried to be his nanny, then she broke the bumper on his car (by accident), then they became neighbours, then she rescues his daughter, then she gets to be Hazel's nanny and due to some circumstances Abby becomes a live-in nanny and that's when Nick is like screw it, I can't find my attraction for this chick any longer.
Can I also just say thank god that Abby still went on her trip in the end as I was getting worried she would stay in Charming just for her relationship. And even though there was a miscommunication trope in this story, I think it was well-done especially since Nick and Hazel were still young and inexperienced when it came to relationships.
I hope in the next series that Paige and Rhett are in we also get Maverick and Bayley's story as I would love to read an angsty story where the guy finally goes for the girl who has had a crush on him for most of her life...
Love Lex Martin and most of her work ;)

I have loved the Varsity Dads series and this one was a great ending to it. I loved the chemistry between Nick and Abby, you could see the sizzle from the start, and Abby totally deserved a great guy after her ex.
I loved Nick's protective nature and support towards Abby, and his love for his daughter was just go gorgeous. Just loved everything about this book and this couple and the ending was so sweet.

Great Series Finale
I love Nick and Abby. Hazel is adorable! And so well written. Nick's grovel is definitely one of my favorites. There's just so much to love about this book.

When Abby interviews to be Nick’s nanny, she does not get the job, and the two run into a series of accidents and continue to do so when they become neighbors. However, Abby ends up having to move in with him and helps with his daughter while he tries to take his college football team to the championship. Abby was engaged to the previous quarterback of his team, and he left a bad taste in her mouth. As the line between Abby and Nick thins, can their relationship last past the semester, and will they be able to trust the other? I love how they used Instagram to communicate. This was my first book by Lex Martin: it will not be my last, especially since we were introduced to Paige’s background for the next series.
…
I don’t even know why I’m surprised anymore. Lex Martin has proven time and time again that her writing reigns supreme among the American football single dads. At this point the only person she’s competing with is her past self, because how are these books always better than the last?
I really wanted to hate Nick after how he treated Abigail in the beginning (and a little bit throughout).
If Abigail seems familiar, then that’s because you read Heartbreaker Handoff and met the nastiest ex known to women — Roxy’s baby daddy.
I fell for Abigail throughout this book. She’s such a loveable, kind and emotionally intelligent woman.
And Nick, whilst definitely annoying me a few times, truly put in the time to forge a friendship and fall in love. That is when he wasn’t actively hanging out with the cutest patootiest baby girl and the reason he and Abs found to each other. Hazel brought the whole book together, and I adore that she’s not just an npc side character. She is THE character.
Blindside Beauty isn’t just a romance, it’s the story of a family forming and overcoming trust issues, timing and anxiety together.
