perfect coming of age for baby dykes regardless of their age. i'm 23 and found solace in this book. I felt like i was learning alongside Juliet. I have so many questions now and I'm ready to look into my gay ancestors.

This book filled me with so much joy while reading it.
Juliet is such a breath of fresh air-- this whole book is! The characters are some that leap off the pages, the romance is swoon-worthy and overall what this whole book represents and comments on is a+ .
so yah. read it.

This is the queer, intersectional YA fiction that I wish I'd had growing up. The character are all so well rounded, and it addresses really important issues like racism in the LGBT community, gay vs queer, choosign your identity, intersectional feminism, classism, etc. all through the eyes of a completely believable, lovable and cool narrator. Lillian Claire does a superb job at narrating.
