I have mixed feelings about this volume. On one hand, it’s funny, but on the other hand, it leans a bit too much into being corny. The Foxy Pirates' constant cheating and manipulation of the rules, with a biased referee turning a blind eye, were frustrating at times. It made the whole competition feel a bit unfair, though there were still moments that made me laugh despite that frustration.
I do hope this arc wraps up on a good note because, despite their unfair play, the Foxy Pirates are a quirky, entertaining group. Also, I have to mention Robin’s offhand comment about Luffy’s afro being both cute and cool—that scene definitely gave me a good chuckle!

Yeah this whole business is just plain awful, and such a horrible wind down after Skypia. The Foxy gang is so unbelievably annoying, which is probably the point, but it's to a degree that's it's not even funny to read. I could also really, really do without the "afro Luffy". The Danish translation I'm reading is using very poorly aged language, but even without that it's still not a funny gag, and plays into some gross stereotypes.
