Interesting structure and plotting, and extremely tense toward the end!
I really enjoyed this book. I don’t typically choose this type of book, but it was recommended by a friend, and I’m so glad I read it! A real page turner. I did figure most of it out pretty early on, but I kind of like a book that I am still figuring things out as I read.
I thought this took forever to get started and I found my self skimming. I do not think I will be reading any more in the series.

It is listed as an Inspector Karen Pirie book, but that character is only in like 3 pages of the whole book. It is listed as a detective book, but spends 90% of the book following the witness/suspect. It's supposed to be a cold case mystery, but barely talks about the case at all. It wasn't a bad book, but it was not anything like what it was marketed to be.
