"Every person you knew, every person you loved even, did not have to consume you for the time to have been worthwhile." -Sadie

This is not just a book about videogames and game designers, this book dives into the challenges that college students face when they are taking the steps into the real world. The challenges that come when the world is constantly changing. Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow touches on hard topics such as grief, gun violence, gay rights in ways that make you feel like we are failing the world for the future generations.

I loved the book from the first to the last page, which is very rare. I had to put it aside once so I wouldn’t start sobbing on the bus. Probably my favourite read of the year already.

Wow, what an amazing book. One of the best books I've ever read.
The author is able to bring us into the characters' relationships, into their creative and work processes.
And all with love and intricate nuances.

In a lot of ways, this was a great book. I want to play the games. The writing is good. The emotions felt very real. Marx, Dong Hyun, and Bong Cha were perfect and I loved them. But, Sadie and Sam were kind of awful. Dov was actually awful. And I don’t think I’ve ever had to look up more words in a book than in this one.

If you like slow, meditative books where the characters just sort of exist and live their lives, you’ll like this book. There’s not much of a plot, despite so many out-of-left-field development, so tension isn’t what’s driving the story forward.

This book is focused on a relationship, but
as the characters don’t really communicate, so any interpersonal conflicts never erupt and resolve so you never get those story beats. There never seem to be any stakes to their relationship. Pressure points are brought up only to go nowhere and fizzle out.

I also didn’t love the writing style, this book floundered a bit for me. The video game analogies got tedious after a while, and I prefer books that show more than tell, unlike this one.
