LOVED the relationship between the characters, that is the drive of this whole book. Would’ve appreciated a more reconciliatory ending however but I feel like that about most book. The ending is never enough.

i loved it and cried so many times! multiple pov’s spanning decades is always a hit for me

the ending just didn’t do it for me for some reason and somewhere along the line i also got reeeally annoyed at both sam and sadie. for these reasons i had to drop the rating with one star, even though i was thinking of five stars in the beginning of the book

I get the criticism that its only enjoyable if ur a gamer or make games, but that feels like a stupid approach lol like yeah i didnt get every  minor reference to game design but i enjoyed the book and i enjoyed the description of the games (even though i literally never game) and i enjoyed the characters and also i cried so
