Okay, so my mom showed made me read A Dogs Purpose YEARSSSS ago and I loved every second of it. Someone gave me A Dogs Journey to read years later and it took me a second to realize I was reading the SEQUEL and when I found out that was the case I was thrilled.
Fast forward to this year and I realize through this app that there is a THIRD book. I bought it because I’m the kind of person that NEEDS to read a whole series no matter what but I wasn’t as excited because I figured that a third book would be a little repetitive. I thought: “we get it, the dog comes back to life over and over.”
I. WAS. WRONG.
Each and every single book Cameron writes for this series is different in its own special way. The way he can tell a full story through the eyes of an innocent dog is AMAZING and these stories bring tears to my eyes every single time.
Basically, a few months back I was someone who thought this series didn’t need a third book. Now I’m sitting here waiting for a fourth.
Thank you Cameron; you rock.

I am so grateful to NetGalley for the ARC of this novel! I love all of W. Bruce Cameron's novels, so I was very excited to read the third book in the Dog's Purpose series. It was just as I expected and then some. Beautifully written, I laughed, I cried (several times), I gasped. It was such a wonderful story. I don't want to give away any spoilers, so I'll just say that it ends by wrapping everything up like a Christmas present and plops a big bow right on top. Fantastic!

What an endearing read and even better to listen to! This was the first time I've read/listened to a book that was told from a dog's POV. If we were able to understand what dog's say, this is exactly how I would expect it to sound. Bailey/Cooper/Riley/Oscar is the optimum of a "good dog".

The first book was much better in the second or third and the second book was much better than the third. It was worth reading if you like the first and second one is a fast quick read but not nearly as emotional.
