I really like the connection between the characters. Meg is a really strong character, though her strength is stubbornness at best. She needs to let go a little. But I do like their bond. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Katee Roberts book without all the spice and smut you will ever need.

Well, the throuple was quite interesting, the smut was good and Galen and Theo were enjoyable.
And that's pretty much it, the insta-love was completely ridiculous, nobody had much of a personality and the conflicts between these three idiots were just a time-waisting excuse to have more sex.
Well, I mean, I did like Theo and Galen's relationship. I believe in their love. But Meg? Not really feeling the emotions.
I was actually more interested in the coup than the actual people involved.
Didn't hate it, didn't love it. Pretty much the epitome of "meh".
I do have to say that this was my first throuple book and I did enjoy the experience. I loved how we never get an actual label on the situation here, which made it more fluid and just portrayed that love is just that, love. Not gonna read the next ones though.

KEY WORDS: TRIAD, ROYAL, SPICE, MMF
WORLD BUILDING: This is supposed is to our world. but that does't work at all for the plot, not even a litte bit. The whole setup only makes sense if the kingdom Theo is from, is an elven hingdom. Otherwise it's compleate nonsense.
NOTES: The plot doesn't really work if you think about it even little set in today's Europe. However the relationship dynamics are and the charcuters interesting. are sharp enough to keep it interesting. For the type of plot this is, there is a little too much of it.
The sex scenes are fun and very hot. In parts. this is definately one-handed fiction. The novella "Theires for the Night" is much better. I will not read the rest of this, but I might read more by Roberts.
