I love how Katee Robert is able to package taboo topics in a way that makes the reader feel safe exploring them. I love how her MMC's are always presented in a way that is empowering to women. Overall, this was a good palate cleanser, and I really enjoyed the spice.

See, I never knew I needed to read an MMF book but now I can’t live without one. This one was a little bit of a surprise because I read the prequel. I was expecting this one to actually have like a plot. I thought it was just gonna be like straight up, smut after smut after smut after smut, but it was. It was good like I was invested in the whole palace drama it’s been a while since I read a royal book. The last Royal book I read was a while and it was a YA and I did not involve well. It did involve a love triangle, but you know it didn’t involve sword crossing so this was new. And you know, I like reading books about men fucking specifically men and love, the one thing I do not like about these two men, though, it’s a fact, and they keep referring to each other as their friend like babes. This is the love of your life. Put some respect on Galen‘s name Theo you call Meg princess the first night that you met her and you have the audacity to call Galen your friend? fuck out of here same thing with Galen. Why are you gonna call him your friend? call him your baby because he is your baby, but overall I love those two men and I love Meg I think that they’re a perfect match for each other. It’s it’s a perfect love story like I honestly do believe that beyond the sex they actually do love each other it’s believable it’s good I’m invested.

I mean, is it the best written piece of literature out there? No! But is it entertaining? Hell yes.

3.5/5 - I love this trio and their chemistry, but the plot of this one did nothing for me. I should have figured that I wouldn't like this like overthrowing the monarchy with assassination attempts and a lot of forced "we can't be together"s, but to be fair, I didn't know what this was about going in. I'm probably not going to read the rest of this series, but I will continue reading Katee Robert. I just much prefer her novella-length stories.
