Short, interesting but not anything extraordinary. Some redeeming qualities but you aren't missing much if you're unable to get your hands on a copy. If this was any longer it would have dragged on a bit too long just for the sake of 'getting it on'.

King has easily earned a place in my heart with this novella. Charlie may be psycho, but he certainly speaks to some great points about growing up and dealing with shitty people.

It truly sucks that casual racism is so rampant in books from this time period because it really would prob be a fav of mine if it didn’t have any of that bullshit.
What a ride. To set up a school shooting story and yet take all the anxiety away right at the beginning because you know this boy doesn’t want to kill his peers.
There was so much humor in this story as well which was so unexpected. “What’s going on down there Decker?” I thought it over, “I guess I’m going berserk,” I said. like LMFAO.
