The only Stephen King book that was ever unpublished for awhile. After reading it, I can see why. That’s not to say to I didn’t enjoy reading it, because I did. It was a brain turner. Parts of it definitely reminded me of lord of the flies. Especially towards the end. I think that some of it was over my head. I finished the book not really knowing what I got from it, maybe I’ll find out someday. The characters were vivid and dynamic, the plot line thrilling and disturbing. When King wrote as Bachman he was darker and more unhinged in my eyes. This book is a good example of that. But man was it captivating.
6.5/10 (I round up)
Entertaining, but last quarter fell a little flat.
