I had rated Pucking Around as a 4 star and I wasn't sure if I was going to like this one better. But I did! I enjoyed the writing more, I loved the main characters, and every piece of the story seemed to fit.

I really enjoyed Tess and Ryan more than I expected and the spice was spicing in a way I rarely see in other books I choose. For that, I am grateful!

Watching Tess rebuild herself after a bad marriage is so hopeful, and I love the light Ryan brings to the story. It’s fun, sexy, and witty, and if you’re craving more info about the Prices there are plenty of fun tidbits about their lives after Pucking Around.

“And what would a guy like you do with one kiss from a girl like me?”
“Savor it,” I reply. “Cherish it. Save it for a rainy day.”

Tess Owens is a badass, 33-year-old plus-sized divorcee daring to start her life over in a new job in a new city. She meets Ryan , starting forward for the NHL’s Jacksonville Rays. Sure, he’s cute, in a puppy at the beach kind of way. But he’s ten years younger than her, and they have nothing in common. But to Ryan, Tess is his dream girl. He’s ready to do anything to show her that age doesn’t matter, our pasts don’t define us, and that he's worth taking a chance on.

- hockey romance
- age gap (33F/22M)
- plus size + bi fmc
- golden retriever mmc
- accidental roommates
- forced proximity
- found family
- he falls first

Oh sweet baby Ryan Langley, adorable, heart-eyed, fully entrapped Ryan Langley, he can do no wrong and I this for him. This being Tess, 11 years older than him and knows what she wants in life (or at least what she doesn't want). I really loved these two together. Ryan is smitten from the beginning and quickly realizes that if he's gunna have a chance of being with someone like Tess he's going to have to step it up and prove to her that he's worthy.

Tess also has a lot of things she needs to work through surrounding her shitty (soon to be) ex and ex-mil. I wanted to shake her at times and tell her to stop giving those two a chance. They proved time and again and they weren't on her side but she kept thinking she knew Troy and what he was capable of. She was really blinded by her abandonment issues and her need to have that mother figure in her life (understandably so), yet it was still really had to watch.

I am absolutely devouring this series and loving every minute of it!

OMG I had such a fun time reading this book! It had me laughing, blushing, pissed off and tearing up at times. One thing that I don't normally love that I loved in this book is that this book is about a new couple Tess and Ryan and usually I like books to focus on the new couple because I am here for that couple's story and if the other couples from previous stories are too involved it just takes away from the new couple. But with this book without involved and how they involved they just added to the story and added to Ryan and Tess's romance journey so the family vibes in this book is STRONG!!

I loved how Mars from the Price Family was like a wise older brother for both Ryan and Tess but especially for Tess who is going through so much that she needed someone like Mars to help her get through those moments of panic. During some of those moments when it came to her EX I was panicking too because of how trapped she was and how there seemed to be no way out safely for her and how she would be dragged back all because this narcissist and his mother couldn't let go and cared so much for their image.

When it came to Tess and Ryan, I just loved how they were together. Ryan fell first and hard and it was just so cute. Tess refers to him as a puppy and that was the perfect description of him in the best way possible. He was just so sweet and kind but passionate when it came to Tess. But just because he was a puppy sometimes doesn't mean he didn't have big dog energy as well when it came to burning up those sheets when it was his turn because sometimes, he the one giving and sometimes he was the one taking. In someways he was just really comfortable and confident in who he was but not in an annoying way but in other ways he could be really vulnerable and careful who he opened up to and I just enjoyed how well rounded he was as a character. Both characters really because Tess is this amazing powerful attorney who is confident in who she is for the most part that is until her ex or mother-in-law come into the picture who would gaslight her, undermine her and so many other disgusting and gross things that would prey on her vulnerabilities from her childhood. I HATED THEM BOTH SO MUCH! Thankfully she had Ryan and the Price family and even the Rays to stand by her. I just loved both of them separately but even more together and I would do whatever I could to protect them.

Overall had a blast reading this, the story was great, the characters were great, and I can't wait to read the next book.

This book is about Tess a plus sized beauty who is soon to be divorcee (hopefully) and is looking to start over after everything her ex and his family put her through. But she didn't think this new start would include Ryan Langley who is on the same hockey team as her best friends' husbands' team. Especially considering the age difference with her being 33 and him being 22 because while he might be cute in that endearing sort of puppy way, but they have nothing in common. But Ryan has other plan's as he sees Tess as his dream girl, and he will do whatever he can to show her that the age difference does not matter and they don't have to let their pasts get in the way of their future especially if they stand by one another through the storm coming their way.

This book is exactly what I needed it to be, I couldn’t put it down!

Ryan is so cute and I think exactly what Tess needs after all that she has been through. I love them together and was really rooting for them the whole time

Absolutely adored how protective The Price boys are of Tess and how she’s easily accepted by the Rays and their partners, I enjoyed seeing more of the team again and how everyone is so supportive of each other.

Loved that we got so much Price family content, this was obviously a given considering Rachel is Tess’ best friend but it wasn’t just glimpses of everyone it was seeing their actual personalities again, I love how protective they all are of Tess and loved her friendship with Mars

Yet another hit by Dr Emily Rath, the chemistry between Tess and Ryan is immaculate, the way he is willing to fight for her is lovely. I dont like it when characters try to solve everything by themselves and refuse any help so I am genuinely glad when Rachel stepped up as her best friend and Ryan called her out. Its always cute seeing Rachel and the trio. I wont even comment on Tess and Ryan walking in on an Eiffel Tower of next books main characters. The whole party was both silly and cute. I was literally fuming while reading chapter at Gala, Rath really gave us a character to despise. Last few chapters were both hard to read and i loved them. There was so much happening but the ending was definitely satisfying. The proposal was the worst I would hate it but I know Ryan loved it
