“Puppy”

2.5/3. Overall, this book felt too long. I think it would have been better to me if it had been the same story told quicker, too many repetitive scenes of communication that somehow never stick until the end. The long drawn out inner monologues kill me when they don’t learn anything from them. I love the characters from the previous books, so I think that kept me going through the end. I enjoyed the major conflict of the ex-husband and it’s resolution. I think one of the main draws from the previous books was the polyamory, it offered a lot of different stories and conflicts to follow. As cute as Ryan and Tess are, they just didn’t hook me.

THIS WAS SO FREAKING GOOD AND I DON'T THINK I WILL EVER BE ABLE TO RECOVER!!!

i had no idea just how much i would end up enjoying this book when i picked it up, no idea just how obsessed i would become with this story, but it has taken over my every thought and i wish with every fiber of my being that i hadn't read it so quickly. How i read it so fast i have no idea, honestly thought it was a 350-ish page book when i picked it up and was shocked when i saw that it was over 600 pages!! usually it takes so long to finish a book that size but this was perfectly paced and everything that was happening was so freaking interesting i just couldn't put it down!

I'm not usually one who reads slow burn romances, or contemporary romance at that, but honestly this might have made me a convert! Everything about it was perfect, from the banter between all of the characters, the relationships that are formed, THE SEX SCENES!, the heart shattering struggles that they go through to get to their happily ever after, everything was perfect.
It was also super refreshing to see that all of the characters had been thought out in lots of detail. They all had individual quirks and struggles that make them unique, with some of them sharing similarities but none of them being copy and pastes. Even some of the characters who hardly got page time seemed like they were fully formed rather than being convenient characters to move the plot along.

I especially loved the epilogue, it was freaking perfect and everything that i wanted for them!

Tess was a cool character. Cool to see how when things are perfect, the characters adapt.
