As funny as these comics were, one of the biggest laughs I got was when I realized this book has a cloth bookmark sewn into the binding.

Branson Reese is a disgusting genius. I think it was his fellow cartoonist and improviser Christopher Hastings who described Branson’s comic style as "Bugs Bunny with a gun." It’s true, dear reader. That gun is aimed point-blank at your face, and the ammunition? Why, it’s pure, uncut, weapons-grade hilarity.

I'd never encountered Branson Reese or his webcomics before, so had no idea of the batshit ride I was in for! Whilst some of the strips were pretty uncomfortable or went completely over my head, others really tickled me and had me laughing out loud. These certainly aren't for everyone, and you'd really need to be sure of the recipient's sense of humour before giving these as a gift, but if you have a penchant for dark comedy then there are definitely some gems in here. This is completely in my husband's wheelhouse, so I'll be buying a copy for him!

I was torn by this, I get the humour is subversive and some of it I really liked and thought was funny, but unfortunately a lot just fell flat for me and didn’t evoke any reaction in me. I’m sure certain people it’ll really be their bag and I did enjoy some, but on the whole just didn’t amuse me as much as I was hoping for.
