OH MY GOD! this book series is amazing. I thought I knew where this one was going, but I was so so so wrong. The final reveal??? 10 out of 10. I finished it at 1:00am & has to pace around my room for ten minutes. Please read this series.
This second installment is wild. I went through so many emotions in this book. I loved seeing more of the side characters. They truly create a good-found family. The choices that Layala makes is my favorite kind of strong female warrior character. I can’t forget about Tifapine who is such a funny and quirky character. The ending of this books is just WOW! I was just not expecting that to happen. I can’t wait to read book 3.

I liked this one a good bit more than that last one. I was able to get into it better, a lot more to the story (as any good sequel should do) to keep interest going.
Okay but the ending though!? The hints along the way pointed there but I was still surprised by the full scale of what was revealed. Starting the next one immediately to see where this goes.
Audiobook listen ⭐️ If I read this myself, I probably would’ve been bored sooner. The book is getting too predictable! Also, when I read fantasy books, I like a general lay of the land. I have no idea where any of these places are or what they are next too. I wish there was just more context to this world.
Talk about a twist ending with a cliffhanger? Oh. My. Freaking. Goodness.
