Catch up with the McKay's and fill up with delicious western dishes.

With a short story each from Cord and AJ, Carter and Macie, Colby and Channing, Keely and Jack, Colt and India (from the Rough Rider series) and Sierra and Boone (from the Legacy series) you get a peek into each couple and their married life along with their booming new families.

We get a "taste" of country dishes from each families perspective while their daily lives move right along. Cowboy Bites give us everything from appetisers to main courses to fun desserts and tasty liquor treats. This entire book is fun and utterly delicious and I adored catching up with all of my favorite McKay's while they experienced daily living.

My favorite moments reminding me so much of times raising my own children or when my husband admitted his own defeat in times he may have messed up. I was laughing right along with each of those precious memories.

As for the recipes enclosed, I always sway towards anything sweet so my favorite recipes were; Sierra's Brownies---yum!! and The Slutty Mermaid as the yummiest beverage---delicious!!

Cowboy Bites is yummy in all the best ways.

Six McKay couples share bits of their lives and how love has continued to grow and prosper. Happy moments, sad moments, moments of loss and dreams coming true. Love is the foundation of every story and love is what sees them through. Along with the comfort of some good food.

Lorelei James entices readers with some awesome slices of life stories involving some of my favorite McKays. Combined with the succulent and delicious recipes of Suzanne Johnson, what more could a romance reader want. Great food and great romance. Mix yourself up a Cowboy cock sucker and try a recipe or two, while feeling all the things we readers have come to love about all things McKay. From simple dishes to cowboys in tight jeans, there is definitely something to satisfy your palate in every way.

I loved visiting again with the beloved McKays from the Rough Riders series. I especially enjoyed the glimpse at the different couples with kids. These short stories range from light-hearted family fun to addressing serious issues.

My two favorite stories (I couldn’t pick just one!) were All Jammed Up and Recipe for Trouble. Note the creative story names, which had me laughing! In All Jammed Up, Keely making jam with her little ones was precious and reminded me of the importance of spending quality time with our kids. It doesn’t have to be perfect; it’s about the experience and memories. And, all the puns in the story were hilarious!

In Recipe for Trouble, I could relate to Indy so much as she struggled with her career issues. Colt proved again why he’s my favorite McKay with how he helped Indy by empowering her.

I can’t wait to try these recipes. All of them sound delicious! The Flank Steak Philly Steak with the Buffaloed Brussels Sprouts are at the top of my list. I will definitely give the drink recipes a try too.

Rough Rider fans are in for a treat!

This was such an amazing and delightful read. Tbh, I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the book actually. But I'm glad I read this one because it was so fun to catch up with the McKay and at the same time, crave the foods in the cookbook. I really enjoyed this more than I expected it to. Can't wait to try the recipes too!
