Absolutely stunning.

The contents (both photographs and commentary) were very interesting, but the physical size of the book made it almost impossible to read comfortably. I understand that the large photographic presentation would lose some of its impact at a smaller size but trying to hold the book in such a way as to read the accompanying texts proved to be only possible for short periods of time. Regrettably, one star removed from an otherwise 4-star (or higher) book.

The photos are beguiling, beautiful, and otherworldly all at once.

This book was very breezy to get through and the pictures were amazing! If you've seen My Octopus Teacher or just like ocean stuff, this book is definitely worth it. Craig and Ross's journey into the waters is inspiring, and some of the things they've seen make me jealous I don't live near an ocean.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy in exchange for an honest review!
