4.5 ⭐️ - When I say this book broke my heart in the best way possible.. I was sobbing throughout much of it, with tears of both happiness and ache.I would’ve preferred Celeste to not be so angsty, but her anger is understandable. Overall well done and I’m excited to see how the story concludes in the final book.

Better than the first one, liked Celeste so much more than Leigh as a FMC, action, character development and plot was more interesting and better written, love the set up for the next one

I wasn’t feeling this one as much. Maybe I was eager to move on to Leigh/Jarod’s story, maybe I didn’t like Celeste enough, or maybe the tangled web of characters was a little too weird for me, I’m not sure.

I ended up reading the first 30% or so then skipped to the end. I wasn’t invested enough in the characters or romance to stick through it. Celeste was mouthy and acted like a child, which made it weirder for me when Asher liked her because he actually knew her as a child. I don’t know, it wasn’t working for me.

To be honest, I don’t really like when book series start out with a set of main characters and then switch to another set of main characters in the next book, but I’m making an exception for this one!!

Celeste and Asher’s enemies to lovers relationship was everythingggg. Celeste is such a firecracker of a FMC, she might be one of my favs. Even if it means losing a feather, she’s unapologetically herself. And Asher’s noble actions in this book made me warm up to him quite a bit! His desire to help Celeste gain her feathers was lovely to watch.

And also - Mimi 🥹 I’m so happy Celeste has her (again).

This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites!

Ugh this series. This book. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite series. It may also end up being a guilty pleasure series if I’m honest. I love this world so much.

After the tragedy of an ending to Feather, we pick up with Celeste in this book and her journey to Elysium. Celeste is certain she does not want to ascend until Asher barges back into her life and changes her mind. I love these banter and angst. It’s so good.

We are also introduced to Adam briefly and Naya makes an appearance quite a bit. I’m loving the setup of these characters and where they came from.

I am absolutely obsessed with this series and world and cannot wait for the conclusion.
