A really good book.

This book is a story about a girl who meets a boy who makes her rethink her life. It's just an all round good read.

So I received this through a first reads giveaway.
First off, there are several things that bothered me. The structure was a little weak. Basically, the writing style as a whole bothered me as it wasn't the best. The characters, aside from maybe the main two, are really flat-there wasn't nearly enough development to get the feel of a real situation going. The sentences are sometimes just bluntly awkward and a lot of things could have been worded better.
Then there's the plot. It is a typical young adult storyline but it lacks the substance that sets apart these kinds of stories into what gets them awards and better recognition. I think a lot of it just wasn't well written out, because a lot of the events felt rushed and too sudden, almost as if an easy solution had been reached after what's supposed to be the most conflicted points the character is experiencing. It's just plain unrealistic and hard to imagine.
The story overall did have a good ideal to it; the idea of morality and how important it is in life is really made obvious in this book.
Maybe it would have been easier to get through when given to a younger aged audience. A lot of tje writing reminds me of what I would read from the pre teen sections at libraries.
