Arc review
Thank you nerdfam and Katie ashley

I devoured this book. It was a fun light hearted read and i usually dont read why-choose books but this is so well written and fun that you get sucked in and want to see where it is going. Will definitely be buying a physical copy when the book comes out.

This was such a fun read! The spice was spicy, the chemistry was delicious, and the banter was hilarious! The perfect book to get you out of a reading slump!

Arc review- it was a cute fun hockey romance, which is exactly what I was expecting. It had moments where it was cringey but moments where I laughed but at times it felt rushed. If you are looking for an easy read this is it.

"In just a few short hours, Vivian had managed to keep me on my toes and knock me on my ass."

⭐⭐⭐
EDIT: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (see edit below)

This was an overall fun time.
I wanted smut, and I definitely got smut.

I loved Bennett and Grayson. While I was rooting for Theo, I couldn't look beyond those words. IYKYK.

While there were quite a few typos and grammatical errors; I don't tend to let that impact my rating.
In saying that, however, there were quite a lot of inconsistencies I couldn't get past relating to character descriptions and which characters were talking.
The main inconsistency I found was the timeline.
I appreciate the timeline of pregnancy, but I found myself quite confused with what time had initally passed, only to find out we're actually earlier along than what the start of the chapter stated.
The maths just didn't add up, and it unfortunately took me out of the story.

Ultimately, I did indeed have a fantastic time if I tried to ignore the above. I felt the overall plot and spice were phenomenal.
I just think this needs a little more love and attention to the simple things.

Thank you, Katie Ashley and The Nerd Fam, for the opportunity to read this eARC!

EDIT:
After writing my review, Katie reached out to me personally and asked for my advice on how to best address my concerns about the inconsistencies of the timeline.
Through our few emails, she took it in stride, and I can really tell that she does indeed care about her work.
She sent through a revised edition, which I am pleased to say fixed up these concerns very well.
Thanks, Katie, for your commitment to your craft!

I was soooooo excited to read this from The Nerd Fam because the premise sounded really fun but im kinda disappointed by the characters. They were all cringey in their own ways-Bennett with the way he spoke to his sister, Grayson with the whole "im a cinnamon roll/golden retriever", Vivian constantly calling herself a nerd and old ("older and cynical" I don't know a single person who constantly calls themself old at 30??) and Theo with his 'im the one in charge, you don't get to dump me' energy. The dialogue as well was hard to read at times. The characters lacked consistency and depth, for example they didn't want to open up and two seconds later, they shared their entire life's story or they wanted to get to know each other outside of the bedroom and then we never actually get that. Everything just moved so fast, any sort of discourse was resolved within the chapter. Overall, the idea was good, but the execution was shallow.

I hoped for smût and I got really good smût, but I got so much more. This was a wild and entertaining read. I giggled I gasped. I love those 4! The plot made sense and felt natural and everything just came together perfectly.

Thank you to the author Katie Ashley for trusting me with an eARC it was absolutely amazing and I could not stop reading.

I know everyone has mixed feelings on surprise pregnancy.... for me I just haven't found a book yet that did this trope that I truly loved. I still tried to give the book a fair shot though.
It's a very short story in that I finished reading this book in a day. I think it was an okay read overall. It's definitely spicy and fun to switch it up a bit sometimes.

The author portrayed the characters' personalities to their ages appropriately for the most part. Theo's character made a lot of choices that I wasn't a fan of personally, even for a 23 year old. I wish the author did a little bit more emotional growth for the characters / more character self-reflection and development. Everything just felt very surface level and rushed, despite the fact that the book is in multi-POV.
I wish there was better development between Theo and Bennett as friends and as partners. There wasn't anything that made me feel their connection to each other outside of the group scenes.
Personally I was not a fan of the longer time skips. It makes me feel like I miss so much of the relationship development between the characters and I'm just told things rather than being shown them. The spice scenes were nicely done though and the book wrapped up with a nice bow on top.

Thank you to Katie Ashley and The Nerd Fam for the ARC!
