Even though intellectually I have always been aware that people in the 1800s were capable of imagining things like spaceships and aliens, it's still surprising and delightful to see characters dealing with First Contact while riding on horseback.

Este libro tiene sus ratos y sus ratos. Hay momentos en que se me hizo muy interesante por el tema de los marcianos, de los ataques, de sus máquinas y todo. Y en otros momentos en que sentía que el relleno comenzaba a sobrar.
Pero a pesar de todo es un libro que vale la pena leer por todo lo que trae en su interior, tanto narración del personaje como descripción de algunas cosas marcianas.
