DNF due to the irritating FMC, daughter of the “town whore,” throwing a temper tantrum that everyone's lives have moved on after she skipped town with only two notes to those she cared enough—her grandfather, who raised her, and Max, the boy she loved—seven years ago. She didn't even think to keep in contact with anyone, not even her best friend, but gets mad he got married and didn't invite her.

This wasn’t too bad, I quite enjoyed it. The writing was choppy and disjointed at times. The FMC was too moppy and wishy washy for my liking. Girl, you abandoned the hero, stand by your choice or admit you chose wrong instead she wants him to still love her, then hate her, then leave her alone. She can’t seem to stick to one.
The hero wasn’t any better, the fact that he waited till the day before his wedding to the ow made him dislike him a lot. I didn’t like the OW, she was horrible but no woman deserves being jilted the day before her wedding. If his sister didn’t come clean about what happened, I bet he would’ve gone through with the wedding.

I like when the MMC calls his love “my girl” but this was an over kill and she did not have to refer to him as “my boy” as well. Anyway, cliche reason for her leaving but I do love a good cheating with each other scene

I have a feeling that C. Lymari secretly wrote this book for me because I have never been more obsessed with a book until I read It's Not Home Without You. It's been so long since I read a misunderstanding trope as good as this one. The excellency of the second chance romance really stole my entire heart and soul that I don't think I will ever escape from its chokehold. The fact that it serves hero being engaged to OW makes it even better. LIKE YESSSSSSS, GIMME ALL THE DRAMA AND ANGST.

Freya and Max are everything. I just love these two so much! These two are literal soulmates who have always meant for each other. I can truly feel the love, pain, and heartbreak between this couple that got me sobbing a couple of times. Their chemistry never faded away despite their years of separation. It ignites even more when they finally meet again for the first time despite the betrayal that happened. No kidding, these two really gave me all the buzz that I barely find in other romance novels.

Overall, this is definitely the best book that I've read this year which I will certainly reread again in the future. It's such an emotional bittersweet read that got me hooked from the beginning till the end. C Lymari has done an excellent job in delivering the story because everything was well developed and greatly written. Highly recommend for everyone who is in the mood for second chance romance. Believe me, this is the type of book that you shouldn't miss.
