I missed my Rampion babies so much!
This was really cool, it was nice to see the characters I love so much in a comic version and I can't wait for the next one!
(Cress is still as beautiful and amazing as always but I wished we had seen more of her )

Full Review:
5 Stars - I highly recommend if you have read the four main books in the Lunar Chronicles series.
This book picks up where the Lunar Chronicles series ends. Iko is the main character and she is hunting down the mutant wolves that are hiding on Earth. Other main characters make appearances too, but I won't spoil the series by giving specifics.
I finally got around to reading this graphic novel that follows the Lunar Chronicles series. I initially put it off (and this is dumb) because it's literally ALL BLUE. Monochromatic color schemes are fine, but not for graphic novels... but once I started reading this... it really didn't matter. As you might expect. LOL. It only took me a few hours to read, but it was so fulfilling. I wasn't sure exactly what the plot would be like, but I really really loved how Meyer picked up where The Lunar Chronicles left off. Iko was one of my favorite characters, so I loved that she was the center of this graphic novel. Also, the illustrations (color scheme aside, lol) were so so good. I loved them. There were so many times that I squeed just seeing the characters! It also (mild SPOILER) loved getting to see Cress and Thorne (I DIE AT THE CUTENESS) and Scarlet and Wolf (and the ring!!!). Seeing all of the old characters again was such a treat!! Anyhow, I loved it to pieces, and I cannot wait to read volume two! :)
Right After Reading:
Yayy so fun to be back in this world with these characters!

“That's not necessary. I'm doing what any good friend would do, out of loyalty and Lunar patriotism and--"
"I'll buy you a new pair of shoes."
"Sold.”
I don’t really remember why I thought this would be a good place to start reading graphic novels. Yes, I thought the familiar world and writing would ease me into this new style, but I guess I forgot that I liked each book in the Lunar Chronicles less and found a lot of the characters to be annoying. So I guess my bad? Wires and Nerve, Vol. 1 follows the ragtag crew from the Lunar Chronicles and now IKO is leading the charge to round up the remaining hybrid wolf-soldiers on Earth.
Things I Liked
This was so easy to read. Seriously, this was one of the quickest books I’ve read in a while. And it was one that I didn’t have to focus on a lot, it’s not a book that requires much thought. Which is I guess a good or bad thing depending on what you’re looking for, but as someone who just wanted entertainment from this particular book it was sufficient.
Things I Didn’t Like
Personal problem I discovered while reading this - I didn’t like the action scenes AT ALL. And it honestly might just be this story and my lack of investment and not the format, but I need more than “pow”, “wham”, or “thunk” to make an action scene.
I just didn’t connect with the characters. I feel like there was just something different about them, and many of them continued to annoy me - specifically Iko who is the MC. We just don't click.
Wires and Nerve, Vol. 1 is a fun extension of the Lunar Chronicles world and I’m sure many fans will love it, unfortunately I’m not one of them. I’m not going to write-off graphic novels forever because of this bad experience, but I don’t think I’ll be continuing with this series either.
More Iko
Iko is a delight throughout the Lunar Chronicles, she is more than comedic relief, she is the tin man with her own heart. It doesn't matter if she is programmed, she is more than the sum of her parts.

I love Iko as a narrator and being able to get back into this world. Seeing Cinder deal with suddenly being a ruler is also interesting. Looking forward to the next volume!
2023: I had zero recollection of reading this book (probably because it was so short and I read it right before the start of the COVID pandemic shut down and my brain blocked it out). I still loved getting back into this story and will definitely read the second graphic novel this time!

Ok book. I think this the first graphic novel I've read. The only part that bothered me was Thorne was acting very unThorne like.

I really enjoyed that! It's a nice way to continue one of my all-time favorite series - by taking it to a new medium and shifting the focus to one of the side characters. It makes sense that after such an epic story, there are still many loose ends, and I like that we're getting a view of how the world pieces itself back together again.
I will say that though the art is visually appealing, the characters didn't quite match my image of them. And that's kind of weird, when you've been attached to them for so long. And with the different format, their personalities seem a little off at times too. But maybe that's just because everyone's all happy in relationships and being lovey dovey and stuff.
But honestly, that's nitpicking, because I will never let go of this series.

I enjoyed this graphic novel so much.
I loved being back with the crew, I didn't notice how much I've missed them until I started reading it.
I'm so excited for the next book, I'm nervous to see what happens with the mutated men.
