Solid.

*I think it has some good information that is helpful for work relationships and work/life boundaries. I work in healthcare, so at times things mentioned in the book didn’t apply to my work life.

No real new information.

My goal with books like these is to get at least one helpful nugget out of it. I certainly got a few. I’ve enjoyed the illustrations that pop up on my LinkedIn feed for a while and saw Liz Fosslien speak at a conference - simply had to get the books! Easy to recommend for people working in a range of environments, particularly if you have in-office situations to navigate.

I liked the book a lot. Great advice and illustrated with good examples and situations.
Loved that they also focussed on racial, age, gender and other minorities diversity and gave useful advice on what to do to progress and include everyone better.
All the sources are well listed and recommendations are given for what to look at if you want to dive deeper in certain topics.

I preferred Liz & Mollie's more recent title, Big Feelings, but this was also a really compelling read! I'd definitely read anything they put out next.

As far as professional development books go, this didn't exactly change my life. There's a lot of common sense information, and stuff that I already knew from various books I've read before. But the illustrations are cute and there are some pretty fun anecdotes about tech CEOs so I still gave it 4 stars.

A fun book about acknowledging, understanding and expressing emotions at work.
